In a resent read......I read this quote....
"if you want to know who the Christians are...ask the poor."
Scripture tells us of a Christ that is very concerned with poverty, oppression and social justice. As you prepare for your journey to work among those living in extreme poverty in Honduras, re-read Matthew 25:31f. No I mean it,READ IT. Don't say to yourself.."I know it, I've heard it" READ IT again and again and feels it's weight and how it reveals the heart of our God and....what....who...is to be are concern in this life.....hint, it is not ourselves! :)

WOW! We (i) read that scripture aloud in class this morning. Strangely, it hit home like never before and that was before you drew my attention to it. I just looked it up to read through it and realized that we read it this morning. Thank you! May we all go together with humble hearts and seek to serve any way we can! Can't wait!!!
